The original-language label has one job
It describes the production. It does not list every subtitle or dubbed track in every edition. A film found under a German name may still open an edition with different language options. Check the player’s track menu before watching much of the film.
When captions are difficult to read
Look for size, contrast, or background controls in the selected player. The available settings vary. A caption track can also include sound descriptions, while another track may focus on dialogue. Choose the option that helps you follow the film comfortably from your actual viewing distance.
When text and speech do not match
First check that the selected language and edition are right. A dub and a subtitle translation need not use identical wording. If timing is visibly wrong throughout, use the player’s supported subtitle controls or choose another available track. Do not change the title’s original-language filter expecting it to adjust a video already playing.
